About Wholesale Servers

Enterprise servers, sold by people who will tell you which one not to buy.

Wholesale Servers supplies new and professionally refurbished Dell PowerEdge and HPE ProLiant systems to IT departments, MSPs, government agencies, and schools across the United States. Every refurbished server runs a 12+ hour burn-in before it ships, carries a 180-day warranty, and comes with a straight answer about whether it fits your workload.

What we actually do

We stock Dell PowerEdge and HPE ProLiant servers across current and prior generations: 16th-gen Dell (R660, R660xs, R760xs) back through the 13th-gen workhorses, and HPE Gen10 Plus through Gen9. Most of it is refurbished. Some of it is new. All of it is held on-site in Suwanee, Georgia, so stocked configurations ship the same day.

We have been selling enterprise server hardware since 2008, and we are a wholesale-first operation. Pricing is structured for buyers who know what they want, quotes are turned around within one business day, and our reps do not waste your time. One server or a hundred, the process is the same: configure it, get a number, deploy.

How an order works

Three steps. The same three words are in our site header because it is the whole business model.

1. Configure

Spec the server yourself, with our notes at every step

The Build Your Own configurator walks each chassis through processors, memory, RAID, drives, networking, remote management, and power. Every step carries our recommendation and the tradeoffs, the same way our product pages do.

2. Quote

Send it through the quote cart, get a reviewed number

A rep checks the configuration for compatibility mistakes, prices it at your volume tier, and replies within one business day, usually faster. Volume pricing starts at 5 units. Purchase orders and net 30 terms for qualified government and education buyers are handled here too.

3. Deploy

We build, burn in, and ship from Suwanee

Multi-unit orders ship with matched configurations across the batch and consolidated freight, so racking goes fast and nothing surprises you on the loading dock.

What 12 hours of burn-in actually checks

"Tested" means different things at different resellers. Here is what it means here. If a unit fails any line, it does not ship. It gets repaired and re-tested from the start, or pulled for parts.

Component What the test covers Standard
Memory Every channel and every populated DIMM slot exercised under sustained load Zero errors PASS
Drive bays Every bay and backplane lane verified with a drive installed Every bay detected PASS
PCIe slots Every slot loaded and verified, including risers Every slot links at rated width PASS
Result: ships with a 180-day warranty, or it does not ship.

That is why our return rate on refurbished hardware stays in the low single digits. It is a process, not a marketing line.

How we write about hardware

Most resellers copy the manufacturer data sheet, add a price, and call it a product page. We write the way a good car review reads: what it is like to own the server, what goes wrong, which configuration is the sweet spot, and when you should skip it and buy the next generation instead.

What a spec sheet says

Supports up to 2933 MT/s DDR4.

Multiple configuration options available.

Compatible with Xeon Scalable processors.

What our product pages say

Fair warning: at full memory population, speed drops to 2666 MT/s. Here is why that is still the right call for most workloads.

The 10-bay has better NVMe density. If that is your priority, go there instead.

We recommend the Gold 6230 for this chassis. Here is why.

Every product page on this site carries an Our Assessment section with a clear recommendation and an Honest Limitations section with the gotchas you would otherwise discover after deployment. The difference between an R740 and an R740xd matters. So does the difference between an R650 with the 8-bay backplane and the 10-bay NVMe backplane. We do not expect every buyer to know these distinctions. We expect ourselves to explain them.

The standard we hold every page to: it has to tell you something the spec sheet does not.

Our position on new vs. refurbished

Most of what we sell was originally deployed in a data center, decommissioned at the end of a refresh cycle, and reconditioned to like-new condition. We are going to be direct about this because it matters.

Refurbished enterprise servers are not refurbished consumer electronics. The hardware was engineered for 5 to 10 years of continuous operation in a conditioned environment. A 14th-gen PowerEdge that came out of a Fortune 500 colo has more useful life ahead of it than most companies will get out of a new mid-tier server. The components are over-engineered, the burn-in has already happened once at the factory and again here, and failure rates at this point in the lifecycle are low.

Fair warning: refurbished is not always the answer. If you need the newest CPU architecture for a performance reason, your procurement policy requires new hardware, or you want the full original manufacturer warranty, buy new. We sell both, and our reps will say which path makes sense for your workload even when it is the cheaper one.

Who we are

Wholesale Servers is the B2B division of Tech Vitality Solutions, LLC, a Georgia company that has sold enterprise server hardware since 2008. We also operate SaveMyServer.com, our sister retail site for individual buyers, home labs, and smaller one-off purchases. Wholesale Servers is built for businesses, government agencies, schools, and resellers: volume pricing, reviewed quotes, purchase orders, and net terms. Both sites ship from the same facility in Suwanee, Georgia, and are backed by the same team, testing process, and warranty standards.

Where we are

70 Buford Highway, Suwanee, Georgia 30024. Inventory is held on-site, which is what makes same-day shipping on stocked configurations possible and lets us do hands-on QA before anything leaves the building. If you are in metro Atlanta and want to see the operation before you place a fleet order, ask. That is a normal request here.

Warranty and support

Every server ships with a 180-day limited warranty. Premium 1, 2, and 3-year warranties add full hardware replacement, component-level replacement, and round-trip shipping. Details are on the warranty page.

Beyond warranty, we offer paid diagnostic and hardware sourcing services for existing servers, whether or not you bought them from us.
