About this part
Refurbished Dell Broadcom 57800S rNDC with two 10Gb SFP+ and two 1GbE ports, a converged daughter card for the rNDC slot in Dell 13th and 14th gen PowerEdge servers. The rNDC (rack Network Daughter Card) is Dell's mezzanine LOM for 13th and 14th gen rack servers: it sits on its own connector, so the onboard ports never cost a PCIe slot. Swapping it changes the built-in fabric.

Compatibility
It fits only the dedicated rNDC connector on the motherboard: not a PCIe slot, not the bNDC slot in Dell PowerEdge blade servers, and not 14th gen models built around a LOM riser instead of an rNDC. 15th and 16th gen servers moved to OCP NIC 3.0; this card does not fit them. The two 10GbE ports are SFP+ cages, so optics and DACs are sold separately; the two gigabit ports are RJ45. Browse matching parts for the Dell PowerEdge R630.
When to Choose This
The 57800S suits SFP+ racks running hardware iSCSI or FCoE offload, with gigabit RJ45 left for management. It is a PCIe 2.0 generation part: for a fresh build on an SFP+ fabric we quote the Intel X710/i350 rNDC, and the Intel X520/i350 is the like-for-like Intel swap. If you need four 10GbE ports, the Broadcom 57840S quad SFP+ rNDC is the step up.
