About this part
Refurbished Dell Intel X710 quad-port 10Gb SFP+ rNDC, a four-port 10GbE daughter card for the rNDC slot in Dell 13th and 14th gen PowerEdge servers. The rNDC (rack Network Daughter Card) is Dell's mezzanine LOM for 13th and 14th gen rack servers: it sits on its own connector, so the onboard ports never cost a PCIe slot. Swapping it changes the built-in fabric.

Compatibility
It fits only the dedicated rNDC connector on the motherboard: not a PCIe slot, not the bNDC slot in Dell PowerEdge blade servers, and not 14th gen models built around a LOM riser instead of an rNDC. 15th and 16th gen servers moved to OCP NIC 3.0; this card does not fit them. All four ports are SFP+ cages; optics and DACs are sold separately. Browse matching parts for the Dell PowerEdge R640.
When to Choose This
The X710 quad SFP+ rNDC is our default for virtualization hosts on an SFP+ fabric that want four 10GbE ports, for example two for VM traffic and two for storage, without spending a PCIe slot. It has no RJ45 port, so management on gigabit copper needs the Intel X710/i350 version instead. The Broadcom 57840S quad SFP+ rNDC is the alternative where FCoE offload matters.
