About this part
Refurbished AMD EPYC 7702P, a 64-core, 128-thread processor for SP3 one-socket servers. The EPYC 7002 series is AMD's 2nd Gen EPYC (Rome) family on socket SP3, with up to 64 Zen 2 cores, eight DDR4-3200 memory channels and 128 PCIe 4.0 lanes in a one-socket configuration. It is the value route to high core counts in one-socket virtualization, storage and general-purpose servers.

Compatibility
This is a Rome part for socket SP3; it does not fit SP5 boards built for EPYC 9004. The P suffix makes it single-socket only; it will not run in a two-socket board. At 200 W the Dell PowerEdge R6515 needs the high-performance heatsink; standard fans are fine with 4 x 3.5-inch or 8 x 2.5-inch drives, while the 10-drive NVMe chassis needs high-performance fans. Memory runs at DDR4-3200 with one DIMM per channel and drops to 2933 at two per channel; the R6515 takes RDIMMs or LRDIMMs, not UDIMMs. Browse matching parts for the Dell PowerEdge R6515.
When to Choose This
The 7702P puts 64 cores and 128 threads in one socket at 200 W, the densest Rome option for container hosts, CI build farms and VDI. Eight memory channels shared by 64 cores leave less bandwidth per core, and per-core licensing gets expensive fast. The Milan EPYC 7713P keeps 64 cores with Zen 3 and a 3.67 GHz boost.
