Refurbished AMD EPYC 7763, a 64-core, 128-thread processor for SP3 one-socket and two-socket servers. The EPYC 7003 series is AMD's 3rd Gen EPYC (Milan) family on socket SP3, moving to Zen 3 cores with eight DDR4-3200 memory channels and 128 PCIe 4.0 lanes in a one-socket configuration. It is the faster-per-core successor to Rome for virtualization, database and per-core licensed workloads.

Compatibility
This is a Milan part for socket SP3; it does not fit SP5 boards built for EPYC 9004. It is a two-socket capable part that also runs alone in a one-socket server such as the R6515. At 280 W it is the hottest part the Dell PowerEdge R6515 takes: high-performance fans and heatsink, DIMM blanks in every empty slot, 35°C maximum ambient, and no support in the 10-drive NVMe chassis. When to Choose This
The 7763 is the top 64-core Milan part, with a 2.45 GHz base for HPC, rendering and dense VM work that keeps every core busy. The cost is 280 W and the R6515 limits above. The single-socket EPYC 7713P gives the same 64 cores at 225 W with a 2.0 GHz base, and is the easier fit in this chassis.
