About this part
Refurbished Dell Broadcom 57416/5720 rNDC with two 10GBase-T and two 1GbE ports, a copper daughter card for the rNDC slot in Dell 13th and 14th gen PowerEdge servers. The rNDC (rack Network Daughter Card) is Dell's mezzanine LOM for 13th and 14th gen rack servers: it sits on its own connector, so the onboard ports never cost a PCIe slot. Swapping it changes the built-in fabric.

Compatibility
It fits only the dedicated rNDC connector on the motherboard: not a PCIe slot, not the bNDC slot in Dell PowerEdge blade servers, and not 14th gen models built around a LOM riser instead of an rNDC. 15th and 16th gen servers moved to OCP NIC 3.0; this card does not fit them. Every port is RJ45, so no optics are needed; plan Cat6a on the two 10GBase-T ports for full-length runs. Browse matching parts for the Dell PowerEdge R740.
When to Choose This
Choose the 57416/5720 rNDC when the rack is wired for copper 10GbE and you want two 10GbE ports for VM and storage traffic plus two gigabit ports for management. The 57416 is a NetXtreme-E part, a generation newer than the Broadcom 57800 10GBase-T rNDC. Shops on Intel drivers take the Intel X550/i350 copper rNDC instead. If your switches are SFP+, the Intel X710/i350 version runs cooler with DACs.
