Refurbished Dell Broadcom 57810S dual-port 10GbE SFP+, a low-profile PCIe converged network adapter for a half-height slot in Dell PowerEdge servers. Dell-branded Intel and Broadcom server NICs are sold under Dell part numbers for PowerEdge servers and take Dell's own firmware update packages. They add 10GbE ports through a standard PCIe slot alongside the onboard 1GbE LOM.

Compatibility
Y40PH is the low-profile bracket build; Dell's full-height build of the same card is N20KJ. The low-profile bracket suits the half-height rear slots on the Dell PowerEdge R350 and the riser slots on the Dell PowerEdge R6515. The card is PCIe 2.0 x8 and runs at Gen2 speed in a Gen4 slot. When to Choose This
Choose the 57810S SFP+ when fiber or DAC 10GbE has to carry iSCSI or FCoE storage with full hardware offload, or when NPAR is needed to split each port into partitions. For general 10GbE SFP+ uplinks on a PCIe 3.0 bus, the Intel X710-DA2 is the newer card. On copper switch ports, the Broadcom 57810S 10GBase-T or Intel X550 avoids buying optics.
Installation Notes
NPAR partitions and the iSCSI or FCoE personality are configured per port in System Setup device settings. FCoE also needs DCB on the upstream switch ports.
