Refurbished Dell Broadcom 57810S dual-port 10GBase-T, a PCIe converged network adapter for a PCIe slot in Dell PowerEdge servers. Dell-branded Intel and Broadcom server NICs are sold under Dell part numbers for PowerEdge servers and take Dell's own firmware update packages. They add 10GbE ports through a standard PCIe slot, beside the onboard 1GbE LOM.

Compatibility
W1GCR is the full-height bracket build of this card. Check the slot height in your riser before ordering: a half-height slot needs the card on a low-profile bracket, and the bracket is not part of the PCB. The card is PCIe 2.0 x8, so it runs at Gen2 speed in a Gen4 slot and needs an x8 electrical slot for full throughput. The RJ45 ports run 10GBase-T to 100 m on CAT6a. When to Choose This
Choose the 57810S 10GBase-T when copper 10GbE has to carry iSCSI or FCoE storage with hardware offload, or when NPAR is wanted to split each port for hypervisor traffic. For plain copper 10GbE on a newer bus, the Intel X550 or X540-T2 is simpler. For fiber or DAC uplinks, the Intel X710-DA2 or the Broadcom 57810S SFP+ card fits better.
Installation Notes
NPAR partitions and the iSCSI or FCoE personality are set per port in the card's device settings in System Setup. The 57810S line was later sold under the QLogic and Marvell FastLinQ names; Dell firmware packages cover all of them.
