Refurbished Dell PERC H755N Front, an NVMe RAID controller with 8 GB NV cache for the front PERC slot in Dell 15th and 16th gen PowerEdge servers. The PERC H755N is the NVMe-only build of Dell's PERC 11 H755, using the same Broadcom SAS3916 RAID-on-chip and 8 GB non-volatile cache to run hardware RAID across up to eight Gen3 or Gen4 NVMe drives. It is for NVMe bays that need hardware RAID rather than CPU-attached drives.

Compatibility
The H755N runs NVMe drives only: SAS and SATA drives do not work on it, and NVMe cannot be mixed with SAS or SATA. Each NVMe drive links at up to x2 lanes through the controller. It installs in the dedicated front controller position and does not take a PCIe slot; it needs the chassis NVMe backplane and PERC cabling, which stay with the server. When to Choose This
Use the H755N when NVMe capacity needs hardware RAID 1, 5 or 10 with battery-protected cache, for example a database host that must ride through a drive loss without software RAID. Each drive gets x2 lanes, so per-drive throughput is lower than direct CPU-attached NVMe; when raw NVMe speed matters more and software handles redundancy, skip the controller.
