Dell Intel i350 1Gb NDC for Blade Servers

Refurbished Dell Intel i350 quad-port 1GbE, a blade network daughter card for the NDC connector in Dell PowerEdge blade servers. A blade NDC supplies a Dell blade's onboard LOM ports on fabric A; a mezzanine card adds ports on fabric B or C. Both connect through the chassis midplane, so the I/O module in the matching fabric decides what links up.

Compatibility

This NDC seats on the blade's NDC connector and nowhere else; a rack server rNDC slot, a PCIe slot or a mezzanine position will not take it. Match the card to your blade model and check the fabric A I/O modules in the chassis. Only modules with 32 internal ports pass all four ports per blade; 16-port modules leave ports 3 and 4 dark. When to Choose This

Choose the i350 NDC when a blade needs four 1GbE links for separated management, cluster heartbeat and VM traffic, and the fabric A modules are 1GbE. The Broadcom 5720 quad-port NDC fills the same role; standardize on whichever driver your images already carry. If the blade is headed for storage or dense virtualization, step up to the Intel X710 10GbE NDC and plan 10GbE fabric A modules with it.
