Refurbished Dell Mellanox ConnectX-4 Lx dual-port 25GbE rNDC, an SFP28 daughter card for the rNDC slot in Dell 13th and 14th gen PowerEdge servers. The rNDC (rack Network Daughter Card) is Dell's mezzanine LOM for 13th and 14th gen rack servers: it sits on its own connector, so the onboard ports never cost a PCIe slot. Swapping it changes the built-in fabric.

Compatibility
It fits only the dedicated rNDC connector on the motherboard: not a PCIe slot, not the bNDC slot in Dell PowerEdge blade servers, and not 14th gen models built around a LOM riser instead of an rNDC. 15th and 16th gen servers moved to OCP NIC 3.0; this card does not fit them. When to Choose This
The ConnectX-4 Lx rNDC is for 25GbE storage and hyperconverged networks that use RoCE, such as Storage Spaces Direct, where Mellanox drivers are the house standard. The Broadcom 57414 25GbE rNDC is the alternative on Broadcom stacks. RoCE wants priority flow control set on the switch; without it, run the card as plain 25GbE. On 10GbE switches the Intel X710 quad SFP+ rNDC gives more ports.
Installation Notes
Update BIOS, iDRAC and the NIC firmware through Lifecycle Controller after the swap; Lifecycle Controller flashes the Dell Mellanox rNDC firmware with the rest of the platform update.
