Refurbished Dell PERC H330 low profile PCIe adapter, a cacheless 12 Gb/s RAID controller for a PCIe slot in Dell 14th gen PowerEdge R440 and R540 servers. The PERC H330 is the entry controller of Dell's PERC 9 family, built on the LSI SAS3008 with 8 lanes of 12 Gb/s SAS and no cache or battery. It suits boot mirrors, RAID 10 sets and non-RAID drives rather than parity arrays.

Compatibility
This is the V2 low profile adapter Dell's board label calls H330+: it takes a PCIe 3.0 x8 slot and cables to the drive backplane. It is not the mini mono board and does not fit an integrated mini slot. Backplane SAS cables are chassis parts and stay with the server. When to Choose This
Choose the H330 adapter for an R440 or R540 running a RAID 1 boot pair, RAID 10 data sets or non-RAID drives. For RAID 5 or 6, step up to the H730P (2 GB) or H740P (8 GB NV) and gain write-back cache. For vSAN or Storage Spaces Direct, take the HBA330, which keeps the controller out of the data path.
