Refurbished Dell PERC H330 Mini Blade, a cacheless 12 Gb/s RAID controller for the integrated storage controller slot in Dell PowerEdge blade servers. The PERC H330 is the entry controller of Dell's PERC 9 family, built on the LSI SAS3008 with 8 lanes of 12 Gb/s SAS and no cache or battery. It suits boot mirrors, RAID 10 sets and non-RAID drives rather than parity arrays.

Compatibility

This is the mini blade board for the storage controller slot inside a Dell PowerEdge blade server; it does not fit a rack server's mini PERC slot or any PCIe slot. Dell rates the mini blade version for up to 8 drives, which covers any blade's local bays. With no cache there is no battery to fit and no battery cable to route. When to Choose This

Choose the H330 Mini Blade for a two-drive boot mirror or a hypervisor host that keeps its data on shared storage. It runs RAID 5 and 50, but Dell notes the missing cache costs parity performance; for local parity arrays, take the H730P Mini Blade with 2 GB NV cache. It also presents drives as non-RAID disks without a separate HBA.
