Refurbished Dell B21 ReadyRails II sliding rail kit, the 2U tool-less rail for Dell 15th gen and 16th gen PowerEdge servers that carry rail identifier B21. Dell matches rails to servers by rail identifier, so the A or B code is what has to fit your chassis, not the server name. Sliding rails pull the server out of the rack for service, while static rails fit more rack types but hold the chassis in place.

Compatibility
The B21 is the ReadyRails II sliding kit for Dell's current 2U chassis. It mounts tool-less in square-hole and unthreaded round-hole 4-post racks; threaded round-hole racks need a minor conversion, screws that are not in the kit, and a screw head no wider than 10 mm. It has no 2-post mount. The CMA attaches at the rear. The B21 does not fit the earlier 2U chassis that take the B6, even though both are 2U two-socket servers. When to Choose This
Choose the B21 when a tagged 15th gen or 16th gen 2U server will be serviced in the rack. If the server is going into a threaded or 2-post rack, Dell's combo and static kits for the same chassis are the alternatives, at the cost of the service slide in threaded racks. Fair warning: a B6 rail from a retired server will not carry this chassis; the mounting points moved with the generation.
