About this part
Refurbished Dell dual-port 1GbE LOM riser card, a copper gigabit mezzanine that fills the LOM riser slot in Dell PowerEdge servers. Dell's LOM riser card adds two network ports beside the two embedded 1GbE ports on PowerEdge servers that have no rNDC slot. It installs in the dedicated LOM riser slot, so the extra ports do not take a PCIe slot.

Compatibility
It is a LOM riser card. It does not fit an rNDC slot, which takes a larger daughter card on a different connector, and it is not an OCP NIC 3.0 card despite the OCP in the listing name. Only one LOM riser card installs per server, and the ports run standard 1000Base-T on Cat5e or better. Confirm the riser card option for your chassis with the service tag, because these cards are matched to the server model. Browse matching parts for the Dell PowerEdge R440.
When to Choose This
Pick the 1GbE LOM riser card to separate iDRAC-adjacent management, backup or a DMZ segment onto their own physical ports, giving the server four gigabit ports in total. It is not a performance upgrade: for vMotion, storage or uplinks we quote the 10Gb SFP+ or 10GBase-T LOM riser card. If you need more than four gigabit ports, add an Intel i350 PCIe adapter.
