Refurbished Dell R650 high performance fan and heatsink kit in the GOLD grade, for Dell 15th gen PowerEdge R650 servers. Dell puts R650 processors above 165 W on the T-type heat sink and keeps 165 W and below on the standard heat sink, except the 165 W 8-core Gold 6334, which also takes the T-type. GOLD and SLVR are Dell's high performance fan grades, marked by a gold or silver label; Gold, also called Very High Performance, is the stronger grade.

Compatibility
The R650 takes up to four dual-fan modules. Dell's air-cooling matrix moves from HPR Silver to HPR Gold as CPU TDP climbs, and Dell requires HPR Gold fans for NVDIMM support. When to Choose This
Choose GOLD for the top of the R650 range: the highest-TDP rows of Dell's matrix and NVDIMM builds. The SLVR kit on the neighboring page covers the middle rows above 165 W. Dell's heatsink line is 165 W for both grades; the fan grade is what changes.
