Dell R650 High-Performance Fans/Heatsinks - SLVR

Refurbished Dell YR04D T-type heatsink and HPR Silver fan kit for Dell 15th gen PowerEdge R650 servers running processors above 165 W. Dell puts R650 processors above 165 W on the T-type heat sink and keeps 165 W and below on the standard heat sink, except the 165 W 8-core Gold 6334, which also takes the T-type. GOLD and SLVR are Dell's high performance fan grades, marked by a gold or silver label; Gold, also called Very High Performance, is the stronger grade.

YR04D is sold as the R650's T-type high performance heatsink. The R650 takes up to four dual-fan modules; Silver is the first high performance grade above standard, and Dell's matrix moves to HPR Gold for the highest-TDP rows and requires Gold for NVDIMM. When to Choose This

Choose SLVR for an R650 moving to a CPU just above the 165 W line, or to the Gold 6334, where the standard heat sink no longer qualifies but the build sits in Dell's Silver rows. If it reaches the top-TDP rows or uses NVDIMM, take the GOLD kit on the neighboring page.
