Dell R750 High-Performance Fan/Heatsink - GOLD

Refurbished Dell R750 high performance fan and heatsink kit in the GOLD grade, for Dell 15th gen PowerEdge R750 servers at the top of the thermal range. Dell runs R750 processors of 165 W and below on the 1U standard heat sink and moves non-GPU builds above 165 W, plus the 165 W 8-core Gold 6334, to the 2U high performance heat sink, part 8F34X. Fan grade then steps from standard through HPR Silver to HPR Gold by CPU TDP, drive layout and GPU population.

Specifications

Compatibility

GOLD is Dell's HPR Gold fan, the strongest air-cooling grade for the R750. Dell's tables call for HPR Gold in many 2.5-inch and GPU configurations and require it for BOSS-S1 on 2.5-inch systems. GPU builds take 1U T-type heat sinks under a GPU shroud, and Dell lists the 270 W Platinum 8368Q as unsupported on air. Browse the full range in Server Processors.

When to Choose This

Choose GOLD when an R750 runs the hottest CPUs, a dense 2.5-inch front or BOSS-S1 on 2.5-inch drives, where Dell's tables land on HPR Gold. The SLVR kit on the neighboring page pairs 8F34X with Silver fans for builds rated below that. Picking fan grade from the CPU alone is the trap.
