About this part
Refurbished HPE Broadcom BCM57416 dual-port 10GBase-T, an OCP NIC 3.0 adapter for the OCP slot in HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus servers. OCP NIC 3.0 replaced FlexibleLOM as the networking slot on HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus, using a dedicated x16 OCP connector that leaves the PCIe risers free. It is an industry-standard form factor, but HPE-branded cards carry the HPE part numbers and firmware the server expects.

Compatibility
This card fits the OCP 3.0 slot only. It does not fit a FlexibleLOM connector, so it will not go in the earlier ProLiant generations that use FlexibleLOM, and it is not a PCIe add-in card. Ports negotiate 1, 2.5, 5 or 10GBase-T, so a 1GbE switch still links; plan Cat6A for full-length 10GbE runs. When to Choose This
Choose the BCM57416 OCP3 card for 10GbE over existing copper cabling on Gen10 Plus hosts, for management, vMotion or general server traffic. If the top-of-rack switch is SFP28, an OCP3 Broadcom 57414 card at 10/25GbE costs less power per port and gives a path to 25GbE. For more ports without giving up the OCP slot, add a stand-up Intel X710 or Mellanox ConnectX-4 card in a riser.
