Refurbished Intel Xeon Gold 6526Y, a 16-core, 32-thread processor for LGA 4677 two-socket servers. The Xeon Gold 6500 series is the performance Gold tier of Intel's 5th Gen Xeon Scalable (Emerald Rapids, 2024) family for LGA 4677, with eight DDR5 channels at up to 5200 MT/s and 80 PCIe 5.0 lanes per CPU. It is the clock and memory step up from the Gold 6400 series.

Compatibility
This is a 5th Gen Xeon Scalable (Emerald Rapids) part for LGA 4677 boards only; it does not fit LGA 4189 or LGA 3647 sockets, and the system BIOS should be current before the swap. At 195 W it needs the L-type heatsink and Dell's high-performance Gold fans in the 1U Dell PowerEdge R660, and the high-performance heatsink in the Dell PowerEdge R660xs and R760xs. Memory runs at up to DDR5-5200 at one DIMM per channel, which the xs boards' 16-slot layout gives. In a two-socket build, run a matched pair: the same SKU in both sockets. When to Choose This
The 6526Y is the 5th Gen licensing part: 16 cores at 2.8 GHz base with DDR5-5200, for per-core licensed SQL Server, Oracle and VDI. Against the 4th Gen Gold 6426Y it adds 300 MHz of base clock and faster memory for 10 W more. If you need fewer, faster cores, the Gold 6534 runs eight at 3.9 GHz.
