Refurbished Intel Xeon Gold 6534, an 8-core, 16-thread processor for LGA 4677 two-socket servers. The Xeon Gold 6500 series is the performance Gold tier of Intel's 5th Gen Xeon Scalable (Emerald Rapids, 2024) family for LGA 4677, with eight DDR5 channels at up to 5200 MT/s and 80 PCIe 5.0 lanes per CPU. It is the clock and memory step up from the Gold 6400 series.

Compatibility
This is a 5th Gen Xeon Scalable (Emerald Rapids) part for LGA 4677 boards only; it does not fit LGA 4189 or LGA 3647 sockets, and the system BIOS should be current before the swap. At 195 W it needs the L-type heatsink and Dell's high-performance Gold fans in the 1U Dell PowerEdge R660, and the high-performance heatsink in the Dell PowerEdge R660xs and R760xs. The xs boards carry 16 DIMM slots, one per channel, so fill all eight channels per CPU for full bandwidth. Memory runs at DDR5-4800 with this CPU, whatever the DIMM rating. When to Choose This
The 6534 is the highest-clocked part in the 6500 series: eight cores at 3.9 GHz base and 4.2 GHz turbo, for per-core licensed databases, EDA and latency-sensitive trading. The 4th Gen Gold 6434 is the cheaper eight-core alternative at 3.7 GHz. The warning: eight cores per socket makes a poor virtualization host.
