Refurbished Intel Xeon Platinum 8153, a 16-core, 32-thread processor for LGA 3647 two-socket and four-socket servers. The Xeon Platinum 8100 series is the top bin of Intel's 1st Gen Xeon Scalable (Skylake-SP) family: up to 28 cores per socket, six DDR4-2666 memory channels, three UPI links and 48 PCIe 3.0 lanes per CPU. It is built for large hosts where cores, cache and memory per box decide the design.

Compatibility
This Skylake-SP part fits LGA 3647 boards only, not the older LGA 2011-3 sockets. Memory runs at up to DDR4-2666. The HPE ProLiant DL360 and DL380 Gen10 run it on the standard heatsink. In a two-socket build, run a matched pair: the same SKU in both sockets. A four-socket HPE ProLiant DL560 Gen10 build needs four of the same SKU and the CPU mezzanine board kit. The 8153 is a low-clock 16-core Platinum; its value is Platinum scaling at 125 W. For most two-socket work the Gold 6130 matches its 16 cores and 125 W with a 3.7 GHz turbo against 2.8 GHz, and is the better part. Choose the 8153 to match an existing fleet.
