Refurbished Intel Xeon Platinum 8352M, a 32-core, 64-thread processor for LGA 4189 two-socket servers. The Xeon Platinum 8300 series is the top bin of Intel's 3rd Gen Xeon Scalable (Ice Lake-SP) family: up to 40 cores per socket, eight DDR4-3200 memory channels and 64 PCIe 4.0 lanes per CPU.

Compatibility
This is an Ice Lake-SP part for LGA 4189 boards only; it does not fit the older LGA 3647 sockets. At 185 W it is above the 165 W line, so in the 1U Dell PowerEdge R650 it takes Dell's T-type heatsink, with the fan tier set by Dell's thermal restriction table; the 2U R750 has more headroom. On the HPE ProLiant DL360 and DL380 Gen10 Plus, HPE requires the high-performance heatsink kit P27095-B21 for any processor of 150 W or more. When to Choose This
The M suffix marks Intel's media-processing SKU, tuned for video transcoding and streaming. With 32 cores at 185 W and full DDR4-3200, it is also the lowest-power 32-core Platinum 8300 part, which makes it a sound general virtualization host. For higher clocks at 32 cores, the Platinum 8358 runs 2.6 GHz base at 250 W; for Speed Select profiles, the Platinum 8352Y.
