Refurbished Intel Xeon Platinum 8362, a 32-core, 64-thread processor for LGA 4189 two-socket servers. The Xeon Platinum 8300 series is the top bin of Intel's 3rd Gen Xeon Scalable (Ice Lake-SP) family: up to 40 cores per socket, eight DDR4-3200 memory channels and 64 PCIe 4.0 lanes per CPU.

Compatibility
This is an Ice Lake-SP part for LGA 4189 boards only; it does not fit the older LGA 3647 sockets. At 265 W it is a high-TDP part. In the 1U Dell PowerEdge R650 it takes Dell's T-type heatsink and calls for the high-performance fan configuration; check Dell's thermal restriction table against your drive layout. The 2U R750 has more headroom. On the HPE ProLiant DL360 and DL380 Gen10 Plus, HPE requires the high-performance heatsink kit P27095-B21 for any processor of 150 W or more. When to Choose This
The 8362 is the fastest 32-core Ice Lake part: 2.8 GHz base and 3.6 GHz turbo with full DDR4-3200. It fits per-core licensed databases, EDA and HPC jobs that need 32 cores without giving up clock. The cost is power and heat: 265 W per socket needs the full cooling budget. If you can trade some clock for power, the Platinum 8358 gives 2.6 GHz at 250 W.
