Refurbished Intel Xeon Platinum 8460Y+, a 40-core, 80-thread processor for LGA 4677 two-socket servers. The Xeon Platinum 8400 series is the top bin of Intel's 4th Gen Xeon Scalable (Sapphire Rapids, 2023) family for LGA 4677: up to 56 cores per socket, eight DDR5-4800 memory channels and 80 PCIe 5.0 lanes per CPU. It is built for dense virtualization, large databases and AI inference on the AMX matrix engine.

Compatibility
This is a 4th Gen Xeon Scalable (Sapphire Rapids) part for LGA 4677 boards only; it does not fit the LGA 4189 or LGA 3647 sockets of earlier generations. At 300 W it needs the L-type heatsink and Dell's high-performance Gold fans in the 1U Dell PowerEdge R660, and Dell restricts the 10-bay 2.5-inch configuration above 270 W; check the thermal table against your drive layout.
