Refurbished Intel Xeon Silver 4112, a 4-core, 8-thread processor for LGA 3647 two-socket servers. The Xeon Silver 4100 series is the value tier of Intel's 1st Gen Xeon Scalable (Skylake-SP) family, running six DDR4-2400 memory channels and 48 PCIe 3.0 lanes per CPU. It adds Turbo Boost and Hyper-Threading over Bronze and is built for file, web and light virtualization hosts.

Compatibility
This Skylake-SP part fits LGA 3647 boards only, not the older LGA 2011-3 sockets. The CPU caps memory at DDR4-2400, even with faster DIMMs. The HPE ProLiant DL360 and DL380 Gen10 run it on the standard heatsink. When to Choose This
The 4112 is a 4-core part for one job: keeping counts low on software licensed by actual cores. Windows Server still bills at least 8 cores per CPU, so the savings show only on per-core application licensing. For general hosting the Silver 4110 doubles the cores at the same 85 W. Step-up: on Dell 14th gen boards, 2nd Gen (Cascade Lake) parts such as the Silver 4215 drop in after a BIOS update.
