Compatibility
This is a 4th Gen Xeon Scalable (Sapphire Rapids) part for LGA 4677 boards only; it does not fit the LGA 4189 or LGA 3647 sockets of earlier generations. At 150 W it runs on the standard heatsink in the Dell PowerEdge R660, R660xs and R760xs. The xs boards carry 16 DIMM slots, one per channel, so fill all eight channels per CPU for full bandwidth. When to Choose This
The 4410Y is the entry infrastructure part: 12 cores at 150 W for domain controllers, file and print, backup targets and light virtualization. The Silver 4416+ gives 20 cores and the accelerator set for 15 W more. The trap is memory: DDR5-4000 and a 2.0 GHz base make it a poor fit for databases; step up to the Gold 5418Y for those.
