About this part
Refurbished Dell Intel X520 dual-port 10GbE, a blade network daughter card for the NDC connector in Dell PowerEdge blade servers. A blade NDC supplies a Dell blade's LOM ports on fabric A; a mezzanine card adds ports on fabric B or C. Both connect through the chassis midplane, so the I/O module in the matching fabric decides what links up.

Compatibility
This card goes on the blade's NDC connector only; it is not a rack server rNDC and it does not fit a mezzanine or PCIe position. Match the card to your blade model, then confirm the chassis fabric A I/O modules are 10GbE Ethernet modules. On 1GbE fabric A modules the 10GbE capability is wasted, and the Broadcom 5720 or Intel i350 NDC is the right card. There are no external jacks: cabling happens at the I/O module. When to Choose This
The X520 NDC is the conservative 10GbE choice for blades: it runs on Intel's long-standing ixgbe driver, which nearly every hypervisor and Linux release carries in-box. Choose the Intel X710 NDC instead when you want PCIe 3.0 and the newer i40e feature set. If a fabric A upgrade to 10GbE modules is not planned, buy the 1GbE i350 NDC and save the difference.
