The PERC H730 belongs to Dell's PERC 9 family, built on the LSI SAS3108 RAID-on-chip with 1 GB of battery-backed non-volatile cache. It runs write-back RAID 5, 6 and 60 on 12 Gb/s SAS, one step below the 2 GB H730P.

Compatibility
This is the adapter form: it takes a PCIe 3.0 x8 slot and cables to the drive backplane through two mini-SAS HD ports, for servers with no mini PERC slot. It does not fit an integrated mini slot. When to Choose This
Choose the H730 adapter to give a 13th gen tower or entry rack hardware RAID 5, 6 or 10 with write-back cache. On the R230 and R330, Dell lists the H730 and not the H730P, so this is the cached option there; in the T430 and T630 the H730P adds 2 GB of cache. For a boot mirror only, the H330 is enough.
