Refurbished Dell PERC H730P PCIe card with 2 GB NV cache, a RAID controller that brings write-back cache through a PCIe slot to Dell 13th and 14th gen PowerEdge servers. The PERC H730P belongs to Dell's PERC 9 family, built on the LSI SAS3108 RAID-on-chip with 2 GB of battery-backed non-volatile cache. It is the write-back controller for parity arrays, databases and busy virtual machine stores on local drives.

Compatibility
Servers without a mini PERC slot take this card in a PCIe 3.0 x8 slot, cabled to the backplane through two mini-SAS HD ports; the mini slot needs the H730P Mini Mono instead. Write-back waits on a connected, healthy battery. Backplane cables are chassis parts and are not included. Part numbers here span low profile and full height brackets. When to Choose This
Use the H730P adapter where RAID 5, 6 or 10 carries real write load: SQL, Exchange-style mail stores, busy file shares. For the R240, R340 and T340 it is the strongest cached option Dell lists, with no H740P on that class. On the T440 and R440 the H740P adds 8 GB NV cache. A boot-only host needs no more than the H330.
