About this part
Refurbished Dell PERC H730P Mini Mono with 2 GB NV cache, a RAID controller for the dedicated mini PERC slot in Dell 13th and 14th gen PowerEdge servers. The PERC H730P belongs to Dell's PERC 9 family, built on the LSI SAS3108 RAID-on-chip with 2 GB of battery-backed non-volatile cache. It is the write-back controller for parity arrays, databases and busy virtual machine stores on local drives.

Compatibility
The mini mono board seats in the integrated storage controller slot and cables to the drive backplane, so it costs no PCIe slot; it does not fit a PCIe slot (the H730P adapter does) or a blade. Write-back runs only while the battery is present and healthy. Backplane SAS cables stay with the chassis. It does not carry forward to 15th gen servers, which moved to PERC 11 and a new controller slot. Browse matching parts for the Dell PowerEdge R740.
When to Choose This
Choose the H730P Mini for databases, VM datastores and RAID 6 sets on 13th gen hosts, where it is the top internal controller: Dell offers no H740P on 13th gen. In a 14th gen server it remains a solid choice, but the H740P with 8 GB NV cache is our production default for write-heavy work there. For vSAN or ZFS, take the HBA330.
