Refurbished Dell PERC H755 Front with 8 GB NV cache, a SAS and SATA RAID controller for the front PERC slot in Dell 15th and 16th gen PowerEdge servers. The PERC H755 is Dell's mainstream PERC 11 controller, built on the Broadcom SAS3916 RAID-on-chip with 8 GB of battery-protected non-volatile cache and a PCIe 4.0 host link. It is the parity RAID default for PowerEdge local storage from the 15th gen onward.

Compatibility
This is the SAS and SATA front H755: it installs in the dedicated front controller position and takes its host link and power through chassis cables, so it never consumes a PCIe slot and will not fit one. It does not run NVMe drives; NVMe bays need the H755N. The battery must be connected for write-back cache, and the PERC cables stay with the chassis. Do not mix PERC 11 cards with PERC 9 or PERC 10 controllers in one system. Foreign virtual disks from an H740P, H745 or H840 import onto PERC 11; arrays from an H730 cannot. When to Choose This
The H755 is the parity RAID default for this generation: RAID 5 or 6 over SAS SSDs, VM datastores, and SQL volumes that need 8 GB of protected write-back cache. The H745 carries half the cache at PCIe 3.0 for lighter loads. The H355 suits boot mirrors but does RAID 0, 1 and 10 only.
