Refurbished Dell HBA330 Mini Mono, a 12 Gb/s non-RAID host bus adapter for the dedicated mini PERC slot in Dell 13th and 14th gen PowerEdge servers. The HBA330 is Dell's PERC 9 era host bus adapter, built on the LSI SAS3008 with 8 lanes of 12 Gb/s SAS and no cache. It passes every drive straight to the operating system for vSAN, Storage Spaces Direct, Ceph and ZFS.

Compatibility
This is the mini mono board: it seats in the integrated storage controller slot, cables to the drive backplane and leaves every rear PCIe slot free. It does not fit a PCIe slot; the HBA330 low profile adapter covers servers without the mini slot. The backplane SAS cables are chassis parts and stay with the server. When to Choose This
Choose the HBA330 Mini when the hypervisor or file system owns redundancy: vSAN, Storage Spaces Direct, Ceph and ZFS want raw disks with no controller cache in the path. It is not a RAID controller. For a hardware boot mirror, take the H330; for parity arrays with write-back cache, the H730P. Check firmware against the vSAN or Storage Spaces Direct compatibility list first.
